“Sportset really has it all. A great gym with lots of space and nice people, multi-sport facilities for volleyball, squash, racquetball, and a huge indoor turf field for kids activities. My daughter recently attended a birthday party at the sports field which was a huge success and such a treat for all the kids in the middle of this cold and snowy winter. Definitely the best sports facilities all around in the RVC, Lynbrook area.”

“Sportset has been around for years, but has had a total makeover over the past few years. I have a daughter that wanted to play volleyball and wanted a program specifically geared to her age group (middle school). I spoke to the program director, Jason and he created such a program and has been running it for a few years now. He is terrific with the girls and is more than qualified to teach them from basics to beyond, since he is also a volleyball coach for middle school (I think in Queens). There’s always a challenging game to play or watch in one of the many courts available to members. They attract a diverse set of players from beginners to almost a professional level. Many times you can find tournaments to participate and you can always find a game of ball.”

“A very nice club catering to the fitness and recreational needs of children through seniors. The equipment is new and well-maintained. Staff is courteous and knowledgeable. Most important, it is not a cookie-cutter chain club, a la NYSC, Golds, Bally’s etc. It is independently owned and operated, and caters to the needs of the Rockville Centre/Lynbrook/Oceanside/Baldwin community area. It combines the best aspects of a health club and a YMCA. The indoor ‘Field’ facility is particularly outstanding. I’ve been to many clubs throughout the country, and this is one of the best. No glitz: just a nice place to go work-out”
