YOGA CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:
Dharma Yoga; is the study of Hatha-Raya Yoga. (Raya/Ashtanga) Trough pranayama, meditation and asana practice you will be able to gradually move the mind away from the physical and into the heart. The asana practice offers variations from beginners to more advance poses resting the mind while moving trough meditation. Dharma Yoga improves flexibility and strengthens the body. Gradually finding a deep state of consciousness with in.
Open-level Hatha Yoga is a mixed level class for beginning and continuing students. The classes combine postures, sequences, breath awareness and relaxation. Learn new postures and sequences and refine familiar ones. This class could be practiced daily.
Students of all level of physical fitness and yoga experience are welcome in this class. Everyone will be guided and supported. Beginners will work on developing body awareness, familiarity with yoga postures, pranayama (breath control) and meditation techniques. Intermediate and advanced students will be encouraged to deepen all aspects of their yoga practices. Using the breath as focal point, students will be guided through series of postures progressing from warm up and easier moves to more complex. You will build strength and stamina and leave a class feeling calm and invigorated.
HOT YOGA FLOW
This class is a sequenced series of 26 traditional hatha postures in a 90 degrees heated room. Designed to warm and elongate muscles, ligaments and tendons in a natural and healthy progressive order, as well as build muscle tone. The elevated room temperature promotes detoxification, increases weight loss, relieves tension, eliminates fat around cells and helps prevent injury. The flow includes both static postures held for a prescribed duration as well as a dynamic breath coordinated component encouraging upper body, increase of breath flow and cardio. Class is suitable for beginners.
This class incorporates creative and fun vinyasa sequencing, attention to alignment, breath awareness, meditation and chanting to build strength, increase flexibility, calm the mind and open the heart. Open Level.
Vinyasa is characterized by flowing poses and sequences that are linked to the breath. This class is diverse and sequencing will vary with instructor philosophy. All Levels
SLOW FLOW VINYASA
This class helps you to build the foundations of your yoga practice, with a focus on proper alignment and cultivation of the mind/body connection. Moving at a slower pace allows you to explore each posture, to move with steady composure, to take the practice to your edge without sacrificing safety or joy. Develop strength, flexibility, balance, and tranquility in this slow flow class, accessible to all students. (All levels)
Restorative yoga is surrender into quiet, supported postures on bolsters and blankets. This class will travel deep into supported postures and pranayama techniques, gentle stretching, and meditation. Restorative yoga is a wonderful compliment to any level of practice. No experience in yoga is needed to join this class. This class is open to all who want to experience a healing and rejuvenating practice and is especially helpful for those suffering from chronic pain, fatigue or stress.
This dynamic and faster placed flow is designed for more experienced students (intermediate through advanced) and will strengthen you physically and mentally as well as elevate your energy level. A typical strength vinyasa class will consist of a warming up (Surya Namaskara A + B), followed by a dynamic sequence of standing poses, seated poses and ending with the traditional closing series. This class will feature plenty of inversions including headstand (Sirasana) and forearm balance (Pincha Mavurasana).
Yoga Nidra is a profound, deceptively simple and scientifically based tool for physical, mental and emotional relaxation. Through the use of specific guided visualizations the practitioner is able to enter a state of deep rest and penetrate the otherwise inaccessible recesses of the mind (the state of mind between wakefulness and sleep, of a conscious deep sleep). It’s a deep healing relaxation practice…) Yoga NIdra reduces the level of stress therefore healing the body.
COME TOGETHER KIDS YOGA
Yoga for kids offers both physical and mental benefits for children of all ages. Studies show that kids yoga can help improve motor skills, enhance brain development and bring about a greater sense of inner and outer balance. It improves cognitive abilities and enables children to socially interact in a fun non-competitive environment. 60 min class
COME TOGETHER PARENT & TODDLER (walker – age 3)
For parents this is a chance to strengthen body and mind while allowing quality one-on-one time with your toddler. For toddlers yoga provides a balance between spontaneity and structure, and enables them to learn to listen to each other, and express themselves creatively. 45 min class.
COME TOGETHER MOMMY & ME (6 wks – walker)
Practice yoga with your baby while learning to regain the strength of your abdominal and pelvic floor muscles. Awaken your whole body, release tention and most importantly bond and play with your little one as well as socialize with other mommies.
